Hey… remember me?
So life has thrown so much at me recently that I haven’t really had time to sit down and update my blog. I’ve moved to Winchester, staying in halls at the University so adapting to life here and all the work I’ve been given to do has taken up A LOT of my time. So this post is really just an update of things that have happened in my life.
I GOT A TATTOO!
I’ve wanted a lot of things in life, from Barbie dolls when I was seven to a PlayStation 4 when I was seventeen, but something I’ve wanted for a lifetime is a tattoo. I can’t remember a time where I didn’t wonder what it would be like to have one. Every time I go out in public and see people with tattoos, I always admire them, thinking ‘man, I can’t wait until I’m eighteen’- (and sometimes catch them looking at me strangely so I have to pretend to be looking at something behind them).
My eighteenth birthday rolled around and I knew this year was the year. My boyfriend, Jarrod, and I got tattoos done together yesterday.
I came to the conclusion that I wasn’t nervous because this was something I’ve always wanted. Unlike everything else, I had zero doubts. Not one. I knew I wanted this tattoo for the rest of my life. (I’m already planning my next one- much to my parents’ joy).
I MOVED TO UNIVERSITY!
As I’ve briefly discussed, I have moved to University and beginning to study Creative and Professional Writing. During the first week I attended my lectures, seminars and workshops and I knew instantly that I hadn’t made a mistake at all. This is definitely something I want to do.
Just the other evening, I attended a ‘writing for videogames’ talk and the things Ian Thomas spoke about sounded so creative and interesting. I think it’s something I’d want to pursue in the future. Plus, I love videogames!
Nothing else major has really happened to me during the time I wasn’t updating. Fresher’s Week was a roller-coaster, and I’m glad that’s over! Trust me when I say that parties and I do not mix. I’d rather stay in my room, read a book, play a game or watch a movie. A party event called BOP is still being held every Wednesday night. My flatmates go out to that most of the time and I stay in. I don’t mind though. I consider myself a lone-wolf and really don’t mind being alone.
That’s it for now. I will try and set a schedule to update once a week and I will TRY and stick to it!
Thank for reading!
